Bali was included in the Republic of the United States of Indonesia when the Netherlands recognised Indonesian independence on 29 December 1949.

“Tari Barong”, a local dance in Bali – The Island Of The Gods. Not sure what Tari Barong means, hope someone knowledgeable will comment on this. Anyway, I love the dance, the music, the culture and the people!

It is also the largest tourist destination in the country and is renowned for its highly developed arts, including dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music.
